We publish new, previously unpublished work by UK & international writers.
If you are not familiar with the magazine, we encourage you to read our most current (or back) issues to understand the sort of work we publish from contributors.
Submissions should feature an artist or an artist's tool, creation or environment in some way. We very much welcome unique and innovative approaches to this theme! Artists include, but are not limited to: writers, painters, musicians, dancers, performing artists, actors, filmmakers, fashion designers, sculptors, photographers.
Entries must not have been published, self-published, or featured on any website, blog or online forum.
Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author, however The Pomegranate London holds the rights to publish selected poems, short stories, flash fiction and essays.
Short Fiction
We are particularly interested in flash fiction and short stories. We will also consider self-contained novel excerpts and work in translation.
We cannot offer feedback on any work submitted.
We aim to respond within 10-15 working days.
Please send up to three stories or excerpts (each no longer than 4,000 words) as separate Word or PDF attachments.
Include a cover letter in the body of your email, telling us about yourself, where you’ve been published and why you think The Pomegranate is a good fit for your work.
Highlight in the subject box your submission (e.g. short, flash fiction) and your name. Email your work to submissions@thepomegranatelondon.com
